- Remember
the layout of your cv is as important as the information
provided. The layout and style can only be finished when
you have a particular job in mind.
-
Make your cv easy to read – you can use microsoft
word wizard or design your own layout, using fonts that
are clear.
- Try
not leave too many gaps in your cv. Put down job titles
and some bullet points to describe job descriptions. Make
sure you have included Educational Details/Employment
History/Interests & Hobbies/References.
- Try
and keep your cv to 2-3 pages, remember the companies
don’t have time to read an essay!!
-
When listing previous jobs, start from most recent backwards,
so they will see your most recent work first.
-
If you are posting a cv, send in an A4 envelope, don’t
fold.
-
If you have a good working knowledge of variouse microsoft
packages, and other computer packages, make reference
to this on your cv.
-
Remember- how you present your cv will have a bearing
on whether or not you get short-listed for a job.
